Today, Intersil continues to support and release new SMD, /883, and Class-V/Q radiation hardened products for the Defense, Hi-Reliability, and Space marketplaces.

All Intersil SMD products  are MIL-PRF-38535/QML compliant and  are 100% burned in. By leveraging off of Intersil’s latest technology for the consumer marketplace, Intersil’s Hi-Reliability/Space products group is releasing Enhanced Products on the VID DSCC flow and Class V/Q products that are revolutionizing the  Hi-Reliability and Space marketplaces

Intersil offers a broad range of radiation hardened and Single-Event Effects (SEE) hardened IC products for RH and space applications.

  • ~300 space-qualified radiation hardened products available.
  • Consistent design and manufacturing in Intersil’s
    MIL-PRF-38535-qualified facility located in Palm Bay, Florida.
  • Intersil is one of only 11 RHA DSCC QML suppliers.
  • All parts are fully-compliant to Class V (space level).

Defense/Hi-Reliability System Solutions:


Intersil has a strong heritage of supplying memory, microprocessor
peripherals and analog products to the Hi-Rel marketplace. Intersil continues to develop new SMD products that are offered in hermetic packages and with guaranteed performance over a -55°C to +125°C temperature range. SMD products are MIL-PRF-38535
compliant and are 100% burned in.

Intersil has initiated a Vendor Item Drawing (VID) compliance program intended to offer value-added, cost-effective solutions to defense, aerospace and other harsh environment customers who believe that an extended temperature plastic packaged part is suitable for their particular application. Intersil’s VID offering brings a broad range of Intersil’s newest high performance analog, digital and power management products to the high reliability marketplace.

The VID program is recognized by DSCC (Defense Supply Center Columbus), with DSCC generated part numbers which will also be available on their web site

Harsh Environment

Intersil has a long heritage of supporting harsh environment and critical uptime applications such as down hole drilling, commercial avionics, and network servers, with our broad portfolio of defense/hi-reliability products. These applications are very unique in that these systems may need to work in extreme temperatures of +150°C or the system may not have the option of downtime. Intersil’s hi-reliability products have a track record for meeting the demands of these unique applications.
