Since being the first-to-market in 1996 with high
performance laser diode drivers, Intersil has continued to
lead the optical storage market with integrated circuits
that control the performance of the laser diode used in the
read/write mode of optical drives. The higher read/write
speeds required by CD and DVD formats demand the type of
analog design expertise that has become a trademark of
Intersil. We currently offer high-level integration and
small package technology in a full line of products for CD
