Analog Power Modules
Family of Fully Integrated DC-DC Buck Regulators

Intersil’s growing family of analog power modules provides users a fully integrated DC-DC switching buck converter in one package.  Combining the controller, power FETs, output inductor and compensation circuitry in a single package minimizes both the external component count and complexity of converter design. With our improved packaging technology Intersil Power Modules achieve best in class thermal performance.

The ISL8204M, ISL8206M and ISL8201M provide a family of pin compatible 4A, 6A and 10A modules that require minimal external components.  The ISL8200AM 10A module offers a simple current sharing architecture allowing up to 6 modules to operate in interleaved multiphase mode for applications requiring up to 60A output current, all in a thin 2.2mm profile package.  Intersil’s latest module, the ISL8225M brings to the table the industry leading power density with >100W of power in a 17mm x 17mm footprint.  The ISL8225M offers dual 15A outputs and can be interleaved in a 6 module configuration to achieve a 12 phase 180A output current converter.

Intersil Power Modules gives customers four unique strengths in their power supply solutions:

  • Functional – Versatile features such as soft start, fault protection and parallel module multi-phasing
  • Rugged – QFN packaging technology offers high reliability and operation without fans or heat sinks, and can be handled by automatic pick and place equipment
