About Intersil Bias Supply Regulators

Intersil's low cost linear regulators generate a low voltage bias supply from intermediate distributed voltages commonly used in telecom and datacom applications. These devices may be used as start-up or as continuous low power regulators.

Intersil’s linear regulators offer customers two distinct choices – high voltage regulators, and regulators with low quiescent current. The high voltage regulators work from an 18V to 80V input supply, making them suitable for applications with high input voltage transients. The low quiescent current linear regulators, with their extremely low input current draw, are ideal for "always-on" and "keep alive" applications. These devices operate from an input voltage of 6V to 40V under normal operating conditions, consuming only 18µA of quiescent current at no load. They also feature over-temperature shutdown and current limit protection.

The Intersil family of synchronous buck regulators has an input range of 3V to 40V and are easy to use, high efficiency low BOM count solutions for a variety of applications. These devices integrate both high-side and low-side NMOS FETs and feature a PFM mode for improved efficiency at light loads. The regulators have the ability to utilize internal or external compensation to reduce BOM count and complexity of design.
