ISL8225MEVAL2Z
6-Phase, 90A Evaluation Board
The ISL8225MEVAL2Z is a three module six channel multiphased 90A output demo.This board highlights the simplicity implementing both the multiphasing and current sharing of parallel modules. This solution requires minimal circuitry and layout complexity but provides the phase shifting and accurate current balancing between the modules.
The phase shift reduces input current ripple and EMI while the current balance ensures that all modules dissipate the same power – maintaining even thermal performance.
A key feature of this evalboard and to the ISL8225M part specifically is that it can deliver full output current at room temperature without any heat sinks or air flow – showing the great thermal performance of the module.
