ISL26134AV28EV1Z Evaluation Board

Description

The ISL26134AV28EV1Z provides a means to evaluate the functionality and performance of the ISL26134 A/D converter. The board includes a microcontroller with a USB interface. The microcontroller interfaces to the ISL26134 ADC via a galvanically-isolated interface and provides serial communication via USB between the board and the PC. The galvanic isolation insures that any ground noise on the USB interface does not interfere with the low noise performance of the ISL21634 A/D converter when operated with the on-chip programmable gain amplifier in a high gain setting.

Software for the PC provides a GUI (graphical user interface) that allows the user to perform data capture, and then to process and plot of the output data from the ISL26134. Data can be graphically displayed in the time domain, as a histogram, and/or as a spectral plot after being processed with an FFT algorithm. The GUI also enables the user to save conversion data from the ADC to a file, or to save the histogram data or the histogram graphic, or processed data output from the FFT, or the spectral plot graphical output.
