Xicor introduces Integrated Dual Voltage CPU Supervisor
MILPITAS, Calif., Jan. 24, 1999 - XICOR, Inc today announced the X40620 and X46402, two user programmable dual voltage CPU supervisors that integrate power-on-reset, watchdog timer, and two low voltage sense monitors along with 64K of on-chip EEPROM memory on a single device. For additional functionality and security, the X46402 offers user selectable security features such as memory partitioning and password protected memory. All products communicate through the industry standard 400K Hz 2-wire serial interface.
Both the X40620 and X46402 feature user-programmable functions, providing system designers with maximum flexibility to tune device parameters to meet exact system requirements. Both products allow the user to select the low voltage reset trip points for the two independent low voltage monitors within the device. The first low voltage monitor can be programmed from 1.7 to 3.5 volts and the second from 2.4 to 3.5 volts. The X46402 also includes user selectable watchdog timeout selection intervals ranging from 200 milliseconds to 1.4 seconds. Additionally, the watchdog timer function can be disabled to facilitate system software debugging.
