Xicor Expands Memec Relationship Worldwide
--Xicor Announces North American Distribution Franchise Agreement with Unique
MILPITAS, California March 5, 2002 Xicor, Inc. (Nasdaq/NMS: XICO) and Unique, a member of The Memec Group, today announced that they have entered into a distribution agreement authorizing Unique to distribute Xicor products throughout North America. Building on existing franchise agreements with Memec Impact divisions in Europe and Asia, this contract expands the Xicor-Memec relationship to cover all major markets worldwide.
True to The Memec Group strategy, Unique's network of field applications engineers work in tandem with its technical sales and marketing resources to create demand for mixed-signal ICs, and to support customers throughout North America in all technology market segments. Moreover, Unique programs focus on proprietary mixed-signal product design, which shortens customer design cycles.
