Xicor Announces Development Kit for IIC Field Programmable CPU Supervisor Products
-- New Board Supports Customer Programming of Key Device Parameters
MILPITAS, Calif., June 29, 1999 - XICOR, Inc. (NASDAQ: XICO) today announced the release of a new board level product to support its family of IIC field programmable CPU supervisor products. The XK4000 allows customers to program key device parameters, such as low voltage sense levels directly from a Windows-based personal computer.
The XK4000 brings the power and flexibility of field programmability to the desktop. When combined with the advantage offered by field programmability, design engineers now have a complete desktop programmer that lets them optimize "reset" and "watchdog timer" parameters based on their specific system needs. Furthermore, as design requirements change, designers can reprogram these parts to meet the new design targets.
"This product provides the essential resources a designer needs to maximize the flexibility inherent in our user programmable CPU supervisors," said Wayne Eng, director of digital products marketing. "Designers no longer need to wait for a supplier to provide factory-trimmed parts. This product, combined with our X4000 family of IIC field programmable CPU supervisors, puts all the power of customization in their control," he concluded.
Product Availability and Pricing
The XK4000 programming board is available now at a cost of $500 each.
