Intersil's New Online ADC/DAC Test Drive Service Saves Customers Time and Money

IRVINE, CA, November 5, 2002 – Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high performance analog and wireless networking solutions, today announced a new free online Test Drive^SM service that allows customers to evaluate Intersil’s digital-to-analog converters (DACs) and analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) without the time and expense of utilizing engineering and laboratory resources.

“We perform converter testing at our facility based on the actual parameters submitted online by the customer,” said Steve Smith, marketing engineer in the Analog Solutions Products. “It’s very easy. The customer fills in the parametric information on our online ADC and DAC test forms and our engineers perform the tests and return the results to the customer within 2 to 3 days.”

Intersil’s Test Drive service for ADCs and DACs provides several advantages for the customer. Quick and accurate evaluations are performed on specified converters without the customer purchasing evaluation boards or expensive test equipment like a pattern generator. Along with the savings in time and money, the service reduces the uncertainty of any test result and can provide correlation of the test data the customer has taken with actual test data taken by Intersil's factory.
