Intersil's MegaQ™ Adaptive Equalizer Named Winner at 2011 Security Industry Association New Product Showcase Awards
ISL59605 Honored at ISC West In Las Vegas for Ability to Deliver Composite Video Over One Mile of Cable
Milpitas, CA – May 5, 2011 – Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ Global Select: ISIL) announced today that its new ISL59605 adaptive equalizer IC, also known as MegaQ™, was honored with the Best New Product Award in the OEM category at the 2011 Security Industry Association New Product Showcase (NPS) awards ceremony at ISC West.
MegaQ was selected for its ability to provide composite video images over a mile, or 1.6 kilometers, of cable. It uses advanced analog and digital techniques to automatically equalize video over Cat-5 or coaxial cable. The device automatically corrects if installers connect the twisted pair backwards and can handle color or monochrome and NTSC or PAL signals. MegaQ requires no user interaction or adjustments to get the best performance, allows the use of existing infrastructure and provides video output from a variety of cable types and lengths.
