Intersil's Dual High-speed DACs Lead Industry Performance/Price Value
-- New 260-MHz dual DACs offer high accuracy, lowest power, single-supply operation and low cost
MILPITAS, CA, June 28, 2004 Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high performance analog solutions, today announced the release of four new high-speed dual digital-to-analog converters (DACs), the 8-bit ISL5627, the 10-bit ISL5727, the 12-bit ISL5827 and the 14-bit ISL5927. Each IC contains two high-performance DACs that operate up to 260 million samples per second (Msps). These new converters offer the industrys highest performance to price value with the highest precision, single-supply operation and the industrys lowest power consumption for conversion of high-speed digital data to high-accuracy analog. Target applications for these high-performance DACs include 3G cellular infrastructure, broadband wireless access, satellite communications, high-resolution imaging, medical equipment and test instrumentation.
Intersils new high-speed ISL5627, ISL5727, ISL5827 and ISL5927 dual DACs lead the industry in performance to price value, improving the quality of service for all broadband communications systems and instrumentation, said Mamoon Rashid, director of Intersils Analog Solutions Products. Two DACs in one IC offer space and cost savings supported by the industrys lowest power consumption and single-supply operation.
These new Intersil DACs are fully supported with technical documentation, evaluation platforms, technical support and an exclusive online Test DriveSM service that allows customers to evaluate Intersils digital-to-analog converters and analog-to-digital converters without the time and expense of utilizing engineering and laboratory resources. This free online service is available to customers at Intersils Test Drive Web site: http://www.intersil.com/testdrive/
