Intersil's CEO and CFO Certify the Corporation's Form 10-Q
IRVINE, CA, August 15, 2002 Intersil (NASDAQ: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high performance analog and wireless networking solutions, announced today that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Richard M. Beyer, and Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Daniel J. Heneghan, have certified the financial results of the company for the quarter ending June 28, 2002 pursuant to 18 U.S.C. Section 1350, as adopted pursuant to Section 906 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
Messrs. Beyer and Heneghan signed and submitted the certifications along with Intersils Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q, and also furnished them by a publicly-available Form 8-K, to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, certifying that the report complies with the requirements of section 13(a) or 15(d) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (15 U.S.C. 78m or 78o(d)), and that the information contained in the Form 10-Q fairly represents, in all material respects, Intersils financial condition and the results of its operations.
