Intersils 150V UltraFET MOSFETs are specifically designed with a low RDS(ON)rating, wasting very little power to the creation of heat and allowing the devices to be utilized in various sockets for multiple applications. RDS(ON) is a measure of a MOSFETs opposition to current flow when it is turned on. The new devices also feature improved switching speed, allowing engineers the ability to deploy the device and improve overall power efficiency and thermal rating.
"Intersils 150V UltraFET MOSFETs can power a variety of applications," said Eric Hertz, product line manager at Intersil. "Power requirements play an increasingly crucial role in next generation networking applications. The versatility of Intersils 150V UltraFET MOSFET portfolio delivers the flexibility to be deployed in numerous designs. This addition to the UltraFET family allows Intersil to offer devices that efficiently control power and significantly reduce power loss across a wide range of voltages."
The 150V devices join the growing family of power efficient UltraFET MOSFETs offered by Intersil. Currently, the entire UltraFET family includes 20V, 30V, 55V, 60V, 80V, 100V and now 150V devices.
About UltraFET
Intersils advanced UltraFET process technology achieves the lowest possible on-resistance per silicon area, lower gate charge, improved dynamic switching characteristics, and other capabilities resulting in unparalleled device performance. UltraFET devices withstand high peak currents and energy in the avalanche mode, essential when switching inductive loads. The process also enables devices between 20V and 200V to achieve the highest levels of performance on the market today.
Intersil UltraFET devices are fully compliant with latest AEC Q101 specification, including the recently added preconditioning with forced moisture penetration. Intersils Power Discrete facilities are also QS9000 certified.
