Intersil Vice President Vern Kelley Receives Prestigious HR Excellence Award
MILPITAS, CA, May 15, 2007 Intersil Corporation today announced that Vern Kelley, Vice President, Human Resources, was honored Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the 21st Annual Human Resources Symposium where he was presented with the HR Symposium Award for Human Resources Excellence.
The HR Symposium is one of the premier human resources events in California. The HR Symposiums Award for Human Resource Excellence is awarded annually during the Symposium held at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The selection committee for this award considers individuals that have demonstrated excellence in human resource performance throughout the years and who have contributed to the industry and demonstrated social responsibility. This award is one of the most distinguished awards given to human resources executives in Silicon Valley.
This award recognizes Vern Kelley for his exceptional leadership of Intersils human resources organization and the organizations commitment to being an Employer of Choice in the semiconductor industry. Receipt of this award places Vern Kelley and Intersil among a group of other excellent human resources executives and companies in the Silicon Valley. Previous winners of this award include vice presidents of human resources from Genetech, Xilinx and Network Appliance, companies who are currently or have previously been included in Fortune Magazines 100 Best Companies to Work For list.
Mr. Kelley joined Intersil in February 2003 and is responsible for overseeing human resource activities for all of Intersil's global locations. He has played a key leadership role in establishing Intersil as a preferred employer as the company has become one of the premier high performance analog companies in the semiconductor industry.
