Intersil to Announce Third Quarter Earnings on October 19; Anticipates Filing Follow-On Public Offering Registration
IRVINE, Calif., October 16, 2001 -- Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL) has scheduled a conference call to discuss the company's third quarter financial results on Friday, October 19, at 7:00 a.m. Pacific/10:00 a.m. Eastern. Greg Williams, Intersil President and CEO, and Dan Heneghan, Chief Financial Officer, will provide details on the company's third quarter financial performance and an outlook for the fourth quarter of 2001.

Follow-On Offering of Securities
Intersil also announced that it anticipates filing today a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a follow-on public offering of Class A Common Stock held by Citicorp Venture Capital and Citicorp Mezzanine Partners. It is expected that a total of 14 million shares will be offered.
