Intersil Techwell Holds Strategic Technology Forum on SLOC at China Public Security Expo 2011

Shenzhen, China - October 30, 2011 - Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ Global Select: ISIL) today announced that Intersil Techwell has held a strategic Techwell products forum, featuring the company's Security Link Over Coax (SLOC) technology, at the China Public Security Expo (CPSE) 2011 in Shenzhen, China.

The forum attracted more than 150 representatives, including corporate executives, engineers, specialists and professionals from leading companies and media in the security industry. Supported by strategic partners of Intersil, including Sony Corporation, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology, and Zhejiang Dahua Technology, the forum addressed the revolutionary features and advantages that SLOC technology brings to the video surveillance industry. Intersil also announced plans to form a new security industry alliance in the coming months to proliferate the SLOC technology.

SLOC Technology Benefits
The Intersil Techwell SLOC™ solution is an advanced modem solution designed to simultaneously transmit analog CVBS video and high definition digital IP video over a single coaxial cable. This highly effective hybrid video surveillance technology enables mega-pixel IP cameras to operate on existing CCTV coaxial infrastructure at distances of up to 300 meters and supports latency-free analog CCTV as well as networked IP surveillance functionalities.
