Intersil Showcases Video Security Leadership at Security Beijing 2012

Demonstrates Latest 960H Video Decoder Technology and SLOC Ecosystem

Milpitas, CA – November 27, 2012 – Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ Global Select: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog, mixed signal and power management semiconductors, today announced it will conduct a variety of live demonstrations featuring products and solutions for the 960H market and SLOC ecosystem at Security Beijing 2012, Hall E1, Booth E28 - E35.

Intersil leads the industry with its pioneering solutions for video security surveillance, and recently unveiled a new family of solutions focused on delivering the best available video quality for the 960H security market. Designed specifically for the 960H standard, this new family of products continues to deliver the same industry-leading quality for existing lower resolution cameras and DVRs.

The new family of 960H products include four and eight channel video decoders, as well a fully automatic equalization solution specifically tuned to handle 960H signals. These latest additions to Intersil’s security product portfolio feature the world’s first integrated quad/octal WD1/D1 analog decoder solutions designed specifically for mixed-mode systems plus complete channel-by-channel configurability.

In this session, Intersil will provide a macro overview of SLOC followed by a panel discussion with Pinetron, Hikvision and YUAN High-Tech that highlights their integrated SLOC products.

Intersil has officially launched its SLOC website portal http://sloc.intersil.com/, which provides partners the tools and resources to help build and deliver new SLOC-based security surveillance systems. It is a central website for everything SLOC related, providing multiple benefits:

• Faster time to market with complete technical resources for customers
• Single website location where customers can easily find the most current SLOC documentation
• New business opportunities with possible joint business opportunities amongst SLOC users
  

In addition, Intersil has issued a SLOC compliance specification that verifies hybrid video quality standards are met by assuring hardware meets electrical compliance for passing products.  Allion Labs, Inc. is now an approved test house to perform SLOC compliance testing. All products branded with the SLOC logo must receive certification.
