Intersil Releases New MightyMUX Low-Voltage Analog Switches Featuring High Performance at Low Cost
-- New 3-V analog switches offer best guaranteed 3-V R(ON) in single-and dual-supply options
MILPITAS, CA, February 3, 2003 Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high performance analog and wireless networking solutions, today announced new additions to their expanding MightyMUX high-performance analog switch line. The new single-supply ISL43110 and ISL43111 ICs and dual-supply ISL43112 and ISL43113 ICs are low-voltage SPST switches offered in the SOIC space-saving SOT-23 packages. Designed for low-voltage portable applications, these switches provide the industrys best guaranteed 3-V R(ON) performance at low cost.
Intersils new MightyMUX analog switch line is our response to the repeated feedback we have received from analog design engineers, said Davin Yuknis, marketing manager for Intersils Switch and Mux Products. Engineers want analog switches that are backed with full characterization and performance guarantees across temperature and operating voltage. This eliminates undesirable circuit variability or failures showing up in the field.
The ISL43110 and ISL43111 ICs are the only SPST analog switches with guaranteed 3-V R(ON) flatness for under $0.50 in 1000 unit quantities. Flat switch resistance (1.5 Ohm) across temperature and input voltage guarantees consistent measurement and minimizes the need for additional calibration and compensation circuitry.
The ISL43112 and ISL43113 ICs offer the best guaranteed ±3-V total R(ON) and R(ON)flatness across temperature, input voltage and +/-10% power supply variation. No other supplier guarantees performance under these conditions. Full characterization at ±3-V operation ensures the device will meet the system design requirements. Complete 3-V min/max guarantees eliminate design guesswork.
