Intersil Opens New Sales Office in Beijing to Serve Technology Market

China Office Expands Intersil's Sales Reach and Focuses on Key Application Areas for the China Market

MILPITAS, CA, February 12, 2007 – Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog semiconductors, today announced the opening of its new sales office in Beijing, China. Intersil’s office includes direct sales and field applications engineers to better serve the growing number of research and development centers located in China’s capital city.

Beijing is a key growth area for Intersil, with substantial opportunities in consumer electronics, telecommunications, networking, instrumentation and other industrial applications. Intersil’s Beijing office, along with offices in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Shanghai, will enable the company to maximize opportunities with the region’s established and growing number of emerging technology companies.
