Intersil Names Tom Tokos as Vice President and General Counsel
MILPITAS, CA, May 29, 2003 Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high performance analog and wireless networking solutions, today named Tom Tokos as its new Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Mr. Tokos will oversee the companys legal affairs, and as Corporate Secretary will serve as an executive officer of Intersil.
We are delighted that Tom Tokos has joined Intersils strong management team. Tom brings many years of legal management, corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, and intellectual property experience to his key role at Intersil, said Rich Beyer, Intersils president and CEO. His leadership of Intersil's Legal Department and valuable insight will help us to leverage and protect our high performance analog and wireless networking technology and resources.
Prior to joining Intersil, Mr. Tokos was Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Asyst Technologies, a semiconductor equipment designer and manufacturer. He was previously Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for VLSI Technology, Inc., SyQuest Technology, Inc., and a semiconductor design automation software company. Prior to this, Mr. Tokos spent nine years with corporate law firms in New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. He holds a Juris Doctor degree with honors from Georgetown University as well as a masters degree in physics and a bachelors degree in chemistry from Ohio University. About Intersil
