Intersil Names Mohan Maheswaran Executive VP & GM Of Newly Formed Analog Signal Processing Products Group
MILPITAS, CA, September 29, 2004 Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high performance analog solutions, today announced the promotion of Mohan Maheswaran to Executive Vice President and General Manager of Intersils Analog Signal Processing Products Group. The new group combines several of Intersils analog product lines and will focus on developing a powerful portfolio of high performance analog devices to address all blocks in the signal processing chain. Additionally, the group intends to expand its efforts in developing General Purpose Proprietary Products (GPPP) for signal processing. Intersils Power Management Products Group, led by Lou DiNardo, Executive Vice President and General Manager, intends to deploy a similar strategy for developing complete power management solutions.
Mohan has consistently demonstrated the leadership necessary to execute our strategy and grow our application specific standard product business, said Rich Beyer, CEO and President. An essential element of our growth plans going forward will be to expand our general purpose proprietary products. We are planning to invest additional resources toward developing our GPPP portfolio and believe that Mohans strong strategic acumen and demonstrated managerial skills will enable the company to execute on our general purpose product roadmap as well.
Maheswaran has over 20 years of experience in the electronics industry. He served as Vice President, General Manager of Intersils Elantec Product Group since June 2002. From June 2001 to May 2002, Maheswaran was Vice President of Marketing, Business Development and Corporate Strategy for Elantec Semiconductor, Inc. From January 2001 to June 2001, he was Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Strategy for Elantec Semiconductor, Inc.
From January 2000 to December 2000, Maheswaran served as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Allayer Communications, a communications IC startup, which was acquired by Broadcom in November 2000. From November 1997 to October 1999, he served as Vice President of Strategy for IBM Microelectronics. From January 1988 to October 1997, he served in a number of different marketing, applications and engineering related positions at Texas Instruments. Prior to this period, he worked in a number of different design and program management positions for Hewlett Packard and Nortel Communications.
Maheswaran holds an MBA from Henley Executive Management College in the UK and a BSEE from Surrey University in the UK. About Intersil
