Intersil Names Bob Isham and Jason Lin to the Position of Intersil Fellows
-- Recognizing and Enhancing Intersil's Technical Excellence
MILPITAS, CA, February 22, 2006 Intersil Corporation, a world leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog solutions, today named Bob Isham and Jason Lin to the position of Fellow, Intersils highest technical position. Intersils Fellows program is designed to foster technical excellence throughout the company by formally recognizing the companys top technical contributors and establishing them as role models, mentors and leaders of the wider Intersil technical community.
Intersil has selected two new members to this high technical honor through a careful evaluation process. The company selects individuals who have contributed to technical excellence, taken leadership roles in the technical community and achieved individual accomplishments important to the companys technical success. Also considered were each persons contributions to patent development; their technical publishing and speaking accomplishments; and their involvement in industry organizations, consortia and technical conferences.
These two individuals embody the technical innovation and drive thats necessary in our industry, said Rich Beyer, Intersils CEO. By sharing their analog expertise with the technical community, they continue to expand Intersils knowledge base and they directly contribute to Intersils success in growing its business. Im very proud of the work that Bob and Jason have done in their respective areas that enables Intersil to maintain its competitive edge, and am happy to confer the distinctive title of Fellow on them today.
About Intersils Fellows
Bob Isham is a Senior Principal Design Engineer in Intersils Desktop product group. Hired in 1970, Bob has 35 years of semiconductor experience. He has been the lead designer or a major contributor to virtually every Intersil multiphase core regulator developed for the desktop and server market. Bob pioneered high-power multiphase regulation in the cost-competitive PC market to help thrust Intersil into the number one market position in the PC computing space. Additionally, Bob is a recognized expert in BiCMOS IC design. Intersil engineers seek him out for his technical expertise. He is experienced in all aspects of analog design, including bandgap references, amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, switch cap filters and PLLs. Bob has developed a number of heavily reused circuit building blocks. He has received numerous technical achievement awards during his career at RCA-GE-Harris-Intersil. Bob has received industry recognition, including 25 patents plus several more that were recently filed. He also received analogZONEs 2003 Product of the Year Award for Best Engineered VR Controller. Bob began his career at RCA as a power transistor applications engineer. He earned his degree in electrical engineering at Lafayette College.
Jason Lin is a Senior Field Applications Engineering Manager in the Computing Power Management group. Hired in 1996, he provides advanced technical leadership to design teams and technical review teams, and well-conceived technical positions/solutions on issues to senior management, customers and other companies. Jason mentors other engineers and assists in their technical development. He consistently demonstrates an ability to convert sophisticated theoretical concepts into value-added practical results that generate documented, quantifiable and significant positive impact on the business. Jason is a frequent participant in technical symposia, workshops and conferences, and he regularly publishes papers. He is Intersils go to person for all of AsiaPac for computer Power Management applications issues. Jason is one of the authorities who helps determine which new products go to market in his region for Computing Power Management and is a recognized authority in the industry on Computing Power Management in AsiaPac. Jason earned his BSEE from National Chiao Tung University and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
Bob and Jason join Sandy Fairgrieve, Barry Harvey, Larry Pearce and Joe Pierret, who were appointed Intersil Fellows in January 2004. About Intersil
