Intersil Introduces World's Fastest Rail-to-Rail Op Amps Tailored for HDTV and RGB Applications
MILPITAS, CA, September 17, 2003 Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high performance analog solutions, today introduced two new triple rail-to-rail amplifiers for digital television (DTV) and high-speed monitor applications requiring low power consumption. The latest addition to Intersils new high-speed operational amplifier portfolio, the Elantec® EL830X family includes 200 Megahertz (MHz) and 600 MHz bandwidth amplifiers. With a very low power consumption of 2mA and 5.6mA per channel, these devices feature gain of 2 bandwidths of 90 MHz (for DTV) and 165 MHZ (for monitor RGB applications).
The newest members of the Elantec op amp family were designed with HDTV applications in mind, said Sameer Vuyyuru, Intersils director of marketing for video and op amps. Our new EL830X family of triple rail-to-rail amplifiers is an exceptional value for todays display and video applications which require high bandwidth and slew rate performance coupled with very low power consumption. These are the best rail-to-rail op amps in the industry for their targeted application by virtue of delivering the highest unity gain bandwidth, plus gain of 2 bandwidth. In addition, they also incorporate power-saving fast enable/disable that reduces supply current to 90 microamps per channel, preserving precious battery run-time.
