Intersil Introduces Six New Op Amps, Including Worlds Highest Speed, Lowest Power Quad Rail-to-Rail Op Amp
— New Elantec EL8403IU op amp provides exceptional swing-to-rail performance
MILPITAS, CA, November 25, 2003 Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high performance analog solutions, today introduced six new rail-to-rail output amplifiers that include dual and quad high-speed rail-to-rail output amplifiers. The six new parts are the latest additions to Intersil's rapidly expanding high-speed operational amplifier portfolio.
The Elantec® EL8403 is the industrys fastest quad rail-to-rail output amplifier, featuring a 100 mV swing-to-rail performance with inputs that reach below ground. At only 5.6 mA per channel, these devices offer exceptional performance while consuming minimal power. The EL8401 is a lower speed version that operates at 200 MHz bandwidth and consumes only 2 mA per channel. Duals of both of these devices include an option for a chip disable functionality, which enables further power savings.
Intersil has released these parts to serve the burgeoning need for exceptional dynamic range with the power saving inherent in rail-to-rail amplifiers, said Sameer Vuyyuru, Intersil's director of marketing for video and op amps. Our new EL840x family of quad rail-to-rail amplifiers are ideal for use as dual S-Video amplifiers or high density A/D buffers. The EL820x family of dual rail-to-rail amplifiers offers single channel S-Video handling capability very economically for the system designer.
