Intersil Introduces New Power Controller Targeted for Portable Applications

IRVINE, CA, May 14, 2002 Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a leading provider of power management solutions for PCs, file servers and portable information appliances, today announced the new Endura ISL6224 single-output synchronous buck PWM controller targeted for portable, battery-powered applications. The new controller reduces parts count and saves board space while offering the industrys highest performance and lowest bill of materials. Target applications include notebook PCs, web tablets, portable data terminals, point-of-sale terminals, portable instruments, LCD-PCs and blade servers.
