Intersil Selected by MSI for 2002 Superior Supplier Award

-- Intersil chosen out of hundreds of component suppliers, only PWM IC supplier recognized

MILPITAS, CA, February 6, 2003 – Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high performance analog and wireless networking solutions, today announced that it has received a 2002 Superior Supplier Award from Micro-Star International (MSI™) of Taiwan. MSI is one of the worlds top motherboard manufacturers and specializes in the design and production of mainboards and add-on graphics cards for PCs. Intersil has been a long-standing key supplier of reliable, efficient and cost-effective PC power solutions to MSI.

Steve Rivet, senior manager for Intersil’s Desktop Power Products and Intersil’s Taiwan sales manager, B. W. Jan, accepted the award at a ceremony on January 11, 2003. Intersil was honored to be the only Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) power solutions supplier recognized at the elaborate celebration.
