Intersil Corporation to Announce Third Quarter 2006 Financial Results on October 18, 2006

MILPITAS, CA, Oct. 4, 2006 – Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ Global Select: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog solutions, will announce its third quarter 2006 financial results on Wednesday, October 18, 2006. Intersil’s Chief Executive Officer, Rich Beyer, President and Chief Operating Officer, Louis DiNardo, and Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, David Zinsner, will provide details on the Company’s third quarter 2006 financial performance and an outlook for the fourth quarter of 2006.
