Intersil Corporation Announces Largest Ever Initial Public Offering For a U.S.-based Semiconductor Company

PALM BAY, FL. – February 25, 2000 – Intersil Holding Corporation today announced its initial public offering (IPO) of 20,000,000 shares of Class A common stock at $25.00 per share. With a total value of $500 million, Intersil’s IPO is the largest ever for a U.S.-based semiconductor company. The stock trades on NASDAQ under the trading symbol "ISIL." The managing underwriters of the offering are Credit Suisse First Boston, Salomon Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch & Co., Robertson Stephens and S.G. Cowen Securities Corporation.
