Intersil Commits $200,000 to Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Efforts with Corporate Gift and Dollar-for-Dollar Employee Donation Match
MILPITAS, CA, September 8, 2005 Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog solutions, today announced that it has committed $200,000 to relief efforts for victims of the Hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. The funds represent a combination of a $150,000 corporate gift and an Intersil dollar-for-dollar match of employee gifts up to $50,000. Intersil is partnering with the United Way and the American Red Cross in this effort. The $150,000 corporate gift will be given to the United Way in partnership with the American Red Cross.
