Elantec's New DC-Restore Family Includes Fastest Triple Available
New single and triple DC-restore amplifiers support latest video and PC standards
MILPITAS, CALIFORNIA, May 29, 2001 -- Elantec Semiconductor, Inc. (NASDAQ: ELNT), a leader in high-performance analog ICs, today introduced the EL4120C and EL4320C high-bandwidth DC-restore amplifiers.
These new DC-restore amplifiers feature a 500MHz bandwidth, making them capable of processing the latest video and PC-video standards. The EL4320C is specifically designed to meet the demands of high-end component systems such as projectors, flat panel displays, and professional video equipment. It integrates the three channels necessary for use in component video systems such as high-performance PC and HDTV. The EL4120C is a single channel device and can be used to improve board layout in high-end systems. Both devices have a 2000V per microsecond slew-rate and operate from just 11mA of supply current per channel.
Michael Jennings, Director of Strategic Marketing at Elantec, said, "The EL4320C, with a bandwidth of 500MHz, is the fastest triple DC-restore amplifier now available. Along with the EL4120C, it continues our commitment to the general-purpose video products market. Both are designed to meet today's high-resolution display requirements, and will find a wide array of applications not only in analog systems, but also in digital systems, where they function to condition the analog input before digital conversion."
Sampling now, the EL4320C is priced at $5.69 each in quantities of 1000-units. It comes in 28-pin QSOP packages. The EL4120C is available in a 16-pin QSOP package at a price of $3.20 each in 1000-unit quantities.
