Elantec Introduces Highest Performance, Multi-Channel Buffers For LCD Applications
Designed for notebook displays and computer monitor applications, the EL5X23C family comes in 4, 8, 10 & 12 channel versions
MILPITAS, CALIFORNIA, October 3, 2001 -- Elantec Semiconductor, Inc. (NASDAQ: ELNT), a leader in high-performance analog ICs, today introduced four new multi-channel buffers targeted at column driver reference voltage buffering applications in LCD displays. Designed specifically for 14-inch and greater displays, the EL5X23C family features the same performance as the popular EL5220C and EL5420C, but at higher levels of integration. They are also available in very small outline packages, a combination that helps to reduce board area requirements and lowers cost in computer monitor, notebook and LCD-TV displays.
The new EL5123C (4-channel), EL5223C (8-channel), EL5323C (10-channel) and EL5423C (12-channel) represent the next generation of Elantec LCD buffers. They feature 12MHz bandwidths, 15V/microsecond slew rates and rail-to-rail input and output functionality. Packaged with inputs on one side and outputs on the other, the EL5123C family enables easy layout of the LCD printed circuit board.
