Manufacturers using the new Intersil D2Audio technology are able to combine home theater audio with traditional video receiver, CD, DVD, DVR, cable box, advanced High Definition TV tuner, and PC Internet connectivity into a single slim enclosure.

TheD2Audio DAE-3 series makes true convergence possible. Small size, small therman footprint, and real-time power management make the DAE-3 series ideally suited for Media PC platforms.

1. Small Physical Size: The new DAE-3 technology enables extremely condensed amplifier solutions, combining four chips from the first generation technology into a single IC to enable very compact amplifier solutions.
2. Small Thermal Footprint: The DAE-3's small therman footprint emables fan-less noise-free operation.
3. Real-Time Power Supply Monitoring: The most essential feature of D2Audio technology at play in media PCs is real-time power supply monitoring. A 5-channel audio amplifier with 200 wats per channel places a high demand on the typical 250W to 350W CE system power supply. This level of demand can easily cause power supply voltages to fall and the the system processor to reset. Advanced power monitoring technology exclusively from D2Audio keeps this from happening.
