Intersil’s EL7558D is a highly integrated switching regulator. Because the power FETs are integrated on the device, this solution requires minimal external components. V_DD for this device is 5V +/- 10%. V_OUT can range from 1.0V to 3.8V. Maximum continuous output current for a solution using the EL7558D is 8 amps. This product allows for a very compact, and a >90% efficient solution.
