Digitally Controlled Potentiometers – Also known as: DCP, RDAC, Variable Resistor, Voltage Divider, Digital Pot, Digital Potentiometer
Intersil offers the widest selection of low-to-high resolution digitally controlled potentiometers in single dual and quad configurations. Available in both linear and non-linear tapers, these digital potentiometers replace mechanical potentiometers and trim resistors in applications where digital control allows microprocessor interfacing and extended functionality.
The digitally controlled potentiometer is implemented with a combination of resistor elements and CMOS switches. The position of the wiper is controlled by the user through the I2C bus interface. The potentiometer has an associated volatile Wiper Register (WR) and a non-volatile Initial Value Register (IVR) that can be directly written to and read by the user. The contents of the WR control the position of the wiper. At power up, the device recalls the contents of the DCP's IVR to the WR. More
Dual, Audio, Push-button Controlled Potentiometer (XDCP) 32 Tap, Push-button, Dual Audio Logarithmic Potentiometer with Buffer Amplifiers and Audio Detection
The ISL22102 integrates two digitally controlled potentiometers (DCP) with buffered wiper outputs and an internal bias voltage generator (VB) on a monolithic CMOS integrated circuit. The wiper position is adjusted by the user through simple Up and Down push buttons, ideal for stereo volume control in audio applications. More
